Today I will show you HOW TO DRESS on dates. I see SO MANY beautiful girls either showing too much or too little, having too much bling, or too little of nothing. What you wear tells a 1st time story about you. It can dictate the type of people you want to attract, and it will also tell people how you want to be treated.

My mom taught me a rule when I was a young girl, and I’ve been following it RELIGIOUSLY my entire life. The rule is: If you’re showing a lot of leg, cover the boobs. If you’re showing a lot of boob, don’t show off TOO much leg. If you’re showing some leg, you can also show some boob. Does that make sense? If you show too much, you might attract the wrong kind of guy for yourself, the kind of guy interested in mostly one thing. But if you show too little, you might miss out on an opportunity. You want to LOOK attractive, but not by lay it all out on the table. Always leave the guy wanting more. Always! Let his imagination run wild!
I feel a little weird parading around in front of you today, because I recently went on vacation, and I allowed myself to be a little porker, and I gained about 6 pounds, but oh well!! Back to following the food control tips I posted in a video a while back! Go here if you want to see it.
So! As far as clothing, always flatter your best feature. If you have a tiny waist, wear a belt around your midriff to accentuate it, or a top or dress that’s cinched at the waist. If you’re bootylicious, show off those sexy curves! RIGHT NOW, find that one body part that you feel is sexy and moving forward, start highlighting it.
The first outfit idea that I’m going to show you, is for a casual daytime outing. Something like, going out for coffee, or going to a picnic.
For a casual daytime sort of date, keep the accessories limited. Daytime is not for chunky, super flashy accessories. I usually prefer white gold or silver during the day, because it’s more relaxed yet still glamorous and Fabulous, but this dress has some gold sequence, so I paired it up with some discrete gold jewelry. I also recommend wearing light colors during the day, and for this kind of casual outfit, you’ll probably be most comfortable in flats. If you’re going on a very casual meet up, it’s good to show that you have that versatility and be casual yet still sexy. Pumps will probably not be the most comfortable and your date might look at you funky. Also during the day, I like an off the shoulder bag because it’s more casual, and you can usually fit more stuff in it that you might need throughout the length of the day. For a more versatile shift from day to night, you can wear your hair up during the day, and then let it down at night.
The second look idea is for a more dressy daytime outing. Maybe you’re meeting your date out for lunch and you want to look glorious but still appropriate for the time of the day
You can keep the lighter colors in your dress, skirt or pants, but add heels, and introduce a purse. With this outfit, I’m not really showing off any legs or boobs, but the shirt is a little see-through. Not obscenely see-through, but enough to where my date can see that I’m wearing a black lace bra underneath. RAWR!! J Yesterday, my boyfriend called this the ‘rich man’s wife outfit’ because it’s elegant yet sexy.
Your clothes will tell people how you want to be treated, so always keep that in mind. Now, you can use white gold, silver OR gold accessories, and I decided to go with white gold. I also loved taking a chance with this purse. It has a floral motif as the pants do, but I love the difference in colors, I think the clash ads a fashionable edge to the look. You can always keep the bag in the same color scheme as your outfit if you’re not comfortable double patterning though. Also, if during the really casual date you had your hair up, here you can wear it half up half down. Again, I want you to show versatility. In one of the points made in the video about What Men Want (Click here to watch it), I talk about the importance of showing different sides of you. This means you’re a complex woman, and so is your look. And men find that SEXY!
For the 3rd date idea, I’ll show you what to wear on a date that is somehow work-related. Still daytime, but maybe you’re going out to lunch with a guy that works in the same building as you. Note that I didn’t say somebody from the same office as you, because I crapped where I slept before, so I personally don’t encourage dating co-workers. But if that floats your boat, I will not judge you AT ALL! I will send you some love energy your way instead! #wink
Here, I kept the look office-appropriate because the skirt is barely above the knee and I’m not showing any boob, but I wanted to stay away from anything too serious or rigid, because after all, you WANT the guy to see you as a woman, and NOT so much as a co-worker, or too businessy. Also, because the skirt can “technically” be considered more on the sexy side, I’m wearing pantyhose. Bare legs would really push this over the top.
I prefer the hair half up half down, because it’s professional, but it still shows the guy that you have stuff to work with. If your hair is short, just wear it to the side, it will look great. Not to go over the edge, I chose simple ear rings, and didn’t add any rings or bracelets.
Now, for the casual evening date, which could be something like going to the movies. The look can’t be too casual or too elegant. I do prefer heels here though. I’m glamourizing this look with the top and the statement necklace, and keeping it casual with the jeans and nude pumps. You can wear this without the necklace too, if you want the look more toned down. If you decide to go with a statement necklace though, keep the rest of the accessories simple, and remember that this type of date is still somewhat in the casual zone. Any type of bag will go here as well.
The dressy evening date is MY favorite. You could be going out to dinner, or maybe seeing a show… Here you can go all out, guns blazing. A little black dress, a nice skirt, pants, or in my case tonight, a fabulous satin jumpsuit. Last week I wore black leather pants with a loose off white shirt, pumps and accessorized with a statement necklace. I always wear high heels, and the accessories are always sparkly. We have to be careful here not to overdo it, or else it will look like we’re trying too hard. A clutch is always one of the best alternatives, and unless you want to show off some super fab earrings, or a statement necklace, wear your hear down. Curl it, have fun with it!
Here you can go heavier on the make up too, but NEVER go overboard. If you’re wearing darker, smokier eye shadow, wear a lighter color lipstick. If you’re only wearing mascara, eyeliner or a very light and discrete eye shadow, you can go bolder with the lips. Don’t let your lip liner be darker than the lipstick, and don’t do dark browns and maroon lips unless it absolutely goes with the look. Never overdue the blush, and if I were you, I wouldn’t go with a lip gloss. Sorry, but most guys, are not looking forward to sticky stuff all over the lips. I wouldn’t either if the roles were reversed.
