My Weight Loss Journey | Week 1
“The elevator to success is out of order. You’ll have to use the stairs…one step at a time.” – Joe Girard
I’m so excited to do this with you!
Over the next 3 weeks I need to drop about 3-4 pounds so I can more comfortably fit into my wedding dress come June 13th.
As I mentioned that in passing on my Instagram profile, I started receiving requests to video document what I’m doing to achieve that, and I always like listening to your suggestions, so here we are today! (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) ♫･*:.｡. .｡.:*･
Every Tuesday through June 10th, I’ll upload a new progress video (in addition to my Thursday’s video). The video and the blog associated with it, will include taking and keeping track of my weight, sharing some of the recipes I’ve cooked, going over what I did to work out, how I curb cravings and stay motivated, and more.
Each week will be slightly different because I get bored very easily and the "intensity" will also go up with each passing week.
There will be however, some Staples of the Plan, that will stay in play constantly, regardless of the week. And they are:
1. Never skipping breakfast.
2. Eater slower.
3. Keeping a food journal.
4. Parking further from where I need to go, to log more steps.
5. If destination is 3 floors or lower, taking the stairs.
(details in the video)
As far as this week is concerned, here’s the Game Plan – remember that this is the starting point, and things will be a little different next week:
1. No bread & gluten products.
2. If necessary, have only 1 cheat day.
3. Limit alcohol consumption to 1/week (2 drinks max).
4. Cardio 1/week.
5. Practice the Affirmations below.
(details in the video)
We can absolutely do this together!!!
Please subscribe on YouTube to get alerted the moment a new video launches and connect with me on Instagram – Facebook and Twitter so we can stay in touch and work as a team. Leave me a comment and let me know if you’ll join me.
I love you for watching and being here with me, let’s do this!!
I’m in control of my destiny.
I make my own decisions. I choose to be happy.
I choose to work on my health and improve my body.
I want to live in a healthy body. I choose to live in a body I’m proud of.
I’m taking control over how I look and feel.
I choose to make a difference in the way I look.
I’m ready to give my body the love, care and attention that it deserves.
I am strong. I can control my cravings.
There’s nothing that will be stronger than my will.
I made up my mind that I can do this.
I am strong. I will be successful.
Everyday I will do this. Take a moment to remind myself that I’m strong and I can do this.
Everyday I will get stronger.
Everyday, the work for my body will become easier.
What I’m doing will pay off.
I will feel stronger each day.
Right now I’m so proud of myself for doing this.
I can do this!
I also recommend watching these 3 videos below.
The first video will help you better understand the essence of how our willpower works and help you create a solid plan for yourself no matter what you set out to do and what you want to accomplish in life, while the other 2 videos will give you some ideas on how to help control your hunger and keep to our plan.
With wishes of good luck and success,
